System Security Engineer-(2600004K)

We are seeking a skilled Systems & Security Engineer to support and maintain our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Microsoft environments, network security, virtualization platforms, and log analytics systems. This role involves managing critical systems, ensuring security best practices, and supporting scalable infrastructure operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain Microsoft infrastructure, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and related services

  • Manage and monitor network security systems, including firewalls, VPNs, and access controls

  • Deploy, configure, and maintain ElasticSearch environments for log aggregation and analytics

  • Support and manage virtualization platforms, including VMware and KVM

  • Troubleshoot system, network, and security issues across distributed environments

  • Implement and enforce security policies, hardening standards, and compliance requirements

  • Monitor system performance, capacity, and availability; recommend improvements

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure and application needs

  • Maintain documentation for systems, processes, and configurations

Required Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience

  • Strong experience with Microsoft technologies, especially Active Directory and Windows Server

  • Hands-on experience with firewall and network security management

  • Experience working with ElasticSearch (deployment, tuning, or operations)

  • Solid understanding of virtualization technologies such as VMware and KVM

  • Good knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, DNS, VPNs)

  • Experience with Linux systems administration

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with centralized logging pipelines (e.g., Logstash, Beats)

  • Familiarity with scripting/automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python)

  • Experience with high-availability and distributed systems

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

  • Good communication and documentation skills
