System Quality Engineer

Summary

We are seeking an experienced System Engineer to join our Turbo Quality team to deliver the absolute best cycling experience to Specialized riders around the world. In this role you will be part of our quality team working on complete electronic systems including hardware/software and components with a focus on early-stage testing to achieve a bike vision in collaboration with system and connectivity engineers. The home base of this role will be in our Cham, Switzerland innovation center.

Main Tasks

Quality and Reliability of New Systems, Features and Tools

  • Define system validation protocols for new systems
  • Drive resolution of issues identified during validation and testing
  • Support the definition of new systems requirements based on lessons learned from previous projects

End to end validation

  • Define and execute validation protocols for full customer experience
  • Identify and drive the resolution of complex issues involving system, app and toolchain
  • Collaborate with System Engineering, Firmware, Software, and Service teams to develop diagnostic strategies and fault trees

Lifecycle management

  • Own the quality strategy throughout the complete product lifecycle, from concept development through production launch, field operation, and end-of-life
  • Lead quality assessment and validation activities for new firmware releases on products in the field
  • Monitor field quality performance using high level metrics to identify improvement opportunities

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality Engineering, System Engineering, Validation Engineering, Product Development, or a related field.
  • Experience with complex electromechanical systems involving hardware, software, firmware, connectivity, and mobile applications.
  • Proven experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) and product development processes.
  • Experience with embedded systems, CAN communication, battery systems, motor controls, connectivity solutions, and mobile applications.
  • Ability to analyse software logs, field diagnostics, telemetry data, and test reports
  • Knowledge of Jira/Confluence is a plus
  • Profound IT user knowledge (MS Office, Outlook)
  • Great social, communication and networking skills
