Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Systems Integration and Configuration Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for documenting integration plans, working with Production and PMO to capture customizations in builds and deployments and integrating various hardware and software components to ensure seamless functionality within complex systems. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Working with Production-Operations teams throughout the design process of complex proprietary, enterprise solutions.
• Prepare detailed rack diagrams and configuration documents from lines items from technical system quotes.
• Review of customer quotes as generated by the Outside Sales Team and the Inside Technical Sales Manager.
• Understand and anticipate client needs, providing timely solutions to build and sustain positive client relationships.
• Maintain a high level of product knowledge and the ability to explain complex concepts.
• Assisting with reviewing all new customer purchase orders before they are entered into the company ERP system.
• Assisting preparing detailed configuration documents for new system deployments and upgrades.

Required Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Computer Science or related field.
• 2+ years Server and Desktop PC technical support experience within a LAN/WAN environment.
• Experience with technical documentation procedures.
• Experience with the concepts of data-centre racking equipment and following cable management plans.
• Experience with Dell and Dell EMC Hardware – Optiplex, PowerEdge, ME4, Unity and Isilon storage solutions.
• Prior experience in supporting large data-centres.

• Must qualify for and maintain Canadian Government Top Secret level clearance.

• Extremely motivated with strong analytical skills.

• Must understand and embrace the need for clear and accurate documentation.
• Established ability with Microsoft Operating Systems, Active Directory, Group Policies, and permissions in a distributed environment.
• Excellent applied creativity and innovation.
• A team player – able to share knowledge, mentor, and work with both internal and external teams.
• Eligible for Top Secret level security clearance.
• Ability to travel.

Work Environment:

• Requires high level of concentration.
• Working hours may vary depending on projects and customer requirements.
• Minimum 2 days in office required.
