  • Assist with network setup, connectivity troubleshooting, and ensure basic network services function as required for Thales solutions.
  • Assist with the management and updating of technical documents, test records, procedures, and incident reports.
  • Support compliance with export-control rules, cyber-security standards, and company quality requirements.
  • Assist project teams to deliver services and solutions within scope, schedule, and quality targets.
  • Participate in ongoing training (including possible overseas training) and support knowledge sharing across the Service Center.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Background in, or strong affinity with, electrical engineering principles.
  • Experience installing and supporting Linux/Unix-like operating systems.
  • Basic knowledge of networking principles, network services and networking equipment (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, L2/L3 SWs, Routers).
  • Experience in technical support, system integration, or field engineering roles (ideally with complex systems or infrastructure).
  • Technical proficiency with electronics, optronics, sonar, radar, radio, or telecommunication equipment and systems preferred.
  • Effective team player with strong communication skills.
  • Fluent in Japanese (native or equivalent); proficiency in English.
  • Customer-focused, with the ability to represent Thales directly at customer sites and communicate technical matters clearly.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail and a high standard of accuracy in all work.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and occasionally abroad for customer support or training, including for periods of several weeks as needed.

Work Environment:

  • Based at the Services Center, with frequent interaction with customers either onsite or remotely.

At Thales, we’re committed to fostering a workplace where respect, trust, collaboration, and passion drive everything we do.
