Job Description

£150,000+ DOE PLUS BONUSES

London - Hybrid

My client, a leading global FinTech company, are recruiting for a Database SRE to join their Infrastructure team to build and maintain the worldwide platforms used for producing trading strategies. You will be working on the end-to-end processes of designing, building and maintaining the production database infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain PostgreSQL and MySQL infrastructure and support the distributed trading infrastructure.
  • Configure and scale PostgreSQL and MySQL servers for trade-critical, real-time workflows
  • Investigate and improve performance of PostgreSQL and MySQL queries and supporting infrastructure
  • Create and apply infrastructure-as-code tools and services (Salt, Terraform, and others)

Experience required:

  • At least 5+ years of experience working in database management and infrastructure engineering
  • Must have extensive experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL
  • Strong experience working on Linux/ Debian
  • Ability to write Python scripts
  • Proven expertise in designing and implementing production database infrastructure
