General Summary:

This position is responsible for end‑to‑end system engineering activities for automotive camera‑based systems, including system architecture design, requirements definition, integration, and validation.

The role performs vehicle‑based demonstrations and customer technical support activities based on comprehensive technical knowledge across system, software, hardware, and system‑level validation domains.

Key Responsibilities

1. System Engineering & Architecture Design

  • Design system‑level architecture for automotive camera systems, including hardware/software configuration, data flows, and interface definition
  • Translate customer and stakeholder needs into clear system and software requirements
  • Decompose system requirements into subsystem and component‑level requirements in collaboration with relevant teams
  • Ensure consistency and alignment between system architecture, implementation, and validation strategies throughout the development lifecycle
  • Support trade‑off analysis among performance, cost, stability, and scalability

2. Requirements Definition, Verification & Validation

  • Define system and software requirements, including functional, performance, and interface requirements
  • Establish and execute system‑level verification and validation strategies
  • Support simulation‑based verification, SIL/HIL testing, and vehicle‑level validation
  • Analyze test results and perform root cause analysis for system‑level issues
  • Maintain traceability between requirements, implementation, and test results

3. Camera System Bring‑up & Integration

  • Support camera system bring‑up on development platforms and prototype vehicles
  • Integrate camera sensors, SoC, ECU, and related components at system level
  • Debug system‑level issues related to camera data paths, interfaces, timing, and performance
  • Work closely with hardware, software, ISP, and platform teams to resolve integration issues
  • Support optimization of system stability, latency, image quality, and robustness

4. Demo & Prototype Vehicle Setup

  • Lead or support setup of demo and prototype vehicles for internal and customer demonstrations
  • Install and configure sensors (cameras and related components) on vehicles
  • Support vehicle‑level system bring‑up, calibration, and functional validation
  • Prepare demo scenarios and test environments
  • Perform on‑site troubleshooting during demos and field testing

5. Application Software Development for Demo & PoC

  • Develop application‑level software for demos, visualization, logging, and system control
  • Implement prototype or PoC features to demonstrate system capabilities
  • Develop tools and scripts for data collection, analysis, and demo automation
  • Rapidly develop and iterate demo applications based on customer feedback
  • Collaborate with validation teams to ensure demo applications accurately reflect real system behavior

6. Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Customer Technical Support

  • Collaborate with system, software, hardware, validation, and vehicle teams across organizations
  • Provide technical support during customer demos and technical evaluations
  • Support technical reviews, design discussions, and customer workshops
  • Explain system behavior, constraints, and technical issues clearly, and create supporting documentation

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • Hands‑on experience with automotive camera systems at the system level, including:
    • System architecture design
    • Develop SW framework in
    • Simulation and verification activities
    • Camera system bring‑up and integration
  • Experience developing application‑level software for demos, prototypes, or Proof‑of‑Concept (PoC) purposes
    (Programming experience in C/C++ and/or Python on the CI environmental)
  • Solid understanding of end‑to‑end automotive camera system development and validation processes
  • Experience debugging complex embedded systems
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders in Korean/English

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
