About the role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Systems Engineer to lead the design, integration, and delivery of complex system solutions. As a key player in our complex system integration department, you will drive system verification and validation, manage technical aspects from definition to final acceptance, and ensure the highest standards of quality are maintained throughout the project lifecycle. Your expertise will guide our multi-disciplined teams, foster client relationships, and contribute to the success of our innovative projects.

Qualifications and experience:

B Eng. (Electronic/Computer) or equivalent.

Relevant experience in systems engineering, technical management, and project management, especially in high-technology engineering environments.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to solve complex problems and offer technical guidance to teams and clients.

Experience in contract management, client interactions, and subcontractor coordination is highly valued.

Familiarity with system engineering tools and a desire to expand knowledge in system design, integration and validation.

Key technical skills required:

Solid understanding of mathematics, physical sciences, and multidisciplinary engineering technologies.

Proven ability to implement engineering processes, review gates, and quality standards.

Expertise in scoping new work, identifying risks, and managing baselines to maintain quality and meet client requirements.

Strong commitment to personal development with a focus on systems engineering-related courses and continuous learning.

Competence in using systems engineering tools and methodologies.

Experience working with high-profile customers and stakeholders, delivering exceptional results under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

1. System verification and validation: Define and manage acceptance tests and verification procedures, ensuring systems meet all functional and performance requirements.
2. Project execution and delivery: Lead system and subsystem design, perform requirements analysis, and ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification.
3. Lifecycle management: Oversee system lifecycle from definition through to final acceptance and operational support, ensuring efficient project delivery and timely warranty repair.
4. Client and stakeholder management: Interface with clients for contract management, system delivery, training, and warranty support, ensuring satisfaction and project success.
5. Team leadership and development: Lead a diverse engineering team, fostering collaboration and guiding them through system design, integration, and testing.
6. System baselines and Configuration management: Establish and maintain system baselines, ensuring change control processes are followed and configurations are properly managed.
7. Reporting and documentation: Manage project plans, phase management, and progress reporting, while ensuring all technical documentation is accurate and up to date.
