本ポジションでは、 eDriveおよびAWDシステム向けの制御機能・制御パラメータ開発を担当します。
欧州・北米・アジアにあるGKN Automotiveのグローバル開発チームと連携し、日本および海外の自動車メーカー向けに最先端のドライブトレイン制御技術を提供します。
車両の トラクション、俊敏性、安定性に関わるトルクマネジメント制御の開発を通じて、ドライバーに「走る楽しさ」を提供し、顧客車両の競争力向上に貢献する重要な役割です。

Department Development Division – Systems Engineering (ePowertrain)
As a System Controls Engineer, you will develop control functions and parameters for eDrive and AWD systems
You will work closely with global system development teams across Europe, North America, and Asia, delivering advanced drivetrain control solutions to leading automotive manufacturers.
Through the development of drivetrain torque management related to traction, agility, and vehicle stability, you will help create engaging driving experiences and enhance customer vehicle competitiveness.
1. Review internal/external specifications and evaluate requirements against existing controls functions to determine new control function development.
2. Develop systems control functions until proof-of-concept using simulation, rapid-pro environment and final test environment.
3. Develop and execute parameter identification procedures considering performance index, stability criterion and safety aspects.
4. Develop linear and non-linear plant models for controls functions and support representative simulation models according to GKN’s product portfolio.
5. Create, update and maintain software requirements specification for controls functions and coordinate bidirectional traceability between relevant system requirements and software requirements.
6. Create standards, calibration-guidelines, procedures and specifications for realization of control features in software; realize controls in software.
7. Support calibration and mapping activities at simulation, test-rig, dyno and vehicle.
8. Provide technical assistance and feedback to engineering teams regarding feasibility.
9. Support approval of final calibrated parameter from stability and safety perspective through creating test report / review protocol.
10. Perform data analyses and experiments for problem resolution activities.
1. Degree: Bachelor’s in engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics, Mechatronics);
Bachelor’s in physics or similar training
2. Controls experience in mechatronic development or similar experience
3. Knowledge of data acquisition systems and control development tools
4. Basic experience with rapid-pro environment
5. Product experience with any of the automotive products (Preferable is Powertrain & Body control module)
6. Knowledge of controls software and electrical hardware, preferably in ECUs
7. System Engineering Concepts (V-model)
8. Driver’s License in Japan
