Job Description

What you’ll do:

  • Collaborate with Product Line Managers to understand product requirements, business objectives, and market-driven feature needs, and translate them into technical requirements and system-level architectures. Define and maintain the digital architecture, technology roadmap, and platform strategy for Medium Voltage Switchgear and Distribution Transformer product portfolios.
  • Establish reusable architecture frameworks and technology building blocks that can be leveraged across multiple product families to improve scalability, interoperability, maintainability, and time-to-market.
  • Drive architecture decisions related to embedded systems, IoT connectivity, industrial communication protocols, cybersecurity, edge computing, remote monitoring, and intelligent asset management.
  • Lead architecture reviews and provide technical oversight throughout the product development lifecycle to ensure alignment with approved architecture, product requirements, and business objectives.
  • Act as the technical authority for digital product initiatives and guide engineering teams in making sound architectural and technology decisions.
  • Provide technical mentorship and coaching to system, hardware, firmware, software, and validation engineers during product development and technology investigations.
  • Collaborate with global engineering teams to evaluate emerging technologies and assess their applicability to future product and platform developments.
  • Drive technical innovation through identification, evaluation, and adoption of new technologies that create customer value and strengthen product competitiveness.
  • Support development teams in resolving complex system-level technical challenges and trade-off decisions.
  • Promote architecture governance, design best practices, engineering excellence, and continuous improvement in development processes.
  • Contribute to intellectual property creation through patents, technical disclosures, and innovative technology solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, reliability, safety, cybersecurity, and product certification requirements.
  • Partner with industrialization and manufacturing teams to ensure architecture decisions support product scalability, quality, serviceability, and lifecycle objectives.

Qualifications:

  • B.E. (15+ Years) in EnTC
  • 15 Years

Skills:

  • Strong expertise in System Architecture, Systems Engineering, and requirements decomposition for industrial products.
  • Experience in translating product requirements into scalable technical architectures and executable development scope.
  • Proven knowledge of Embedded Systems, Hardware-Software Integration, RTOS/Linux-based platforms, and Connected Products.
  • Understanding of Industrial IoT, Edge Computing, Remote Monitoring, Asset Health Management, and Digital Product Architectures.
  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols and networking technologies such as IEC 61850, Modbus, MQTT, OPC-UA, CAN, and Ethernet.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles and secure product development practices for connected products.
  • Experience in defining reusable platform architectures, common technology frameworks, and portfolio-level technology roadmaps.
  • Working knowledge of digital and analog electronics, communication interfaces, PCB technologies, and Design for Manufacturing principles.
  • Familiarity with product development lifecycle processes including requirements management, design, verification, validation, certification, and industrialization.
  • Knowledge of Medium Voltage Switchgear, Distribution Transformers, Protection, Monitoring, and Power Distribution applications is preferred.
  • Strong systems-thinking, technical leadership, problem-solving, stakeholder influencing, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to mentor engineering teams, drive architecture governance, and evaluate emerging technologies for future product applications.
