Core Technology is a business-driven team of professionals, that develop and support technology solutions for customers of all business areas. Our deliverables cover automation/lifting device controls, human-machine interfaces, embedded electronics, motor controls, inverter technologies, product sustainability, reliability and asset intelligence.
As material handling devices become increasingly intelligent and connected to external systems, managing machine control solutions at the system level becomes critical. While technologies, components, modules, and operational processes are primarily owned by component and platform owners, certain system-level issues fall outside existing ownership structures — for example, addressing compliance requirements at the architectural level in line with company recommendations. The System Architect, Machine Controls assumes responsibility for these cross-cutting concerns to ensure coherence, integration, and alignment.
Want to influence how the next generation of intelligent industrial systems is built?
In this role, you will shape the architecture behind machine control and connected material handling solutions used worldwide. You will take ownership of system-level architecture, drive greater harmonisation across our technology portfolio and help integrate new technologies while balancing scalability, cybersecurity, compliance and business needs.
You will collaborate with experts across engineering, product management, cybersecurity, digital solutions and business teams globally, giving you plenty of opportunities to influence strategic decisions, grow your network and share your expertise.
Most importantly, this is an opportunity to leave your mark on the future of industrial automation and intelligent material handling at Konecranes.
Occasional travel (10-25 days per year) to support cross-site collaboration and customer engagements.
