Job description

Overview Of The Role:

The System Analyst plays a crucial role in the technical coordination for the configuration, upgrades, support, and maintenance of Microsoft NAV/BC/D365, CRM, and other cloud solutions within existing and new expansion stores. The role involves close coordination with the digital & IT team, functional heads, and business users. Key responsibilities include upgrading activities for IKEA stores across the UAE, Qatar, Egypt, and Oman, aligning business processes and working methods with the IKEA concept and Al-Futtaim Group framework.

What You Will Do:

System Upgrades and Coordination

  • Coordinate upgrade and data migration from legacy systems to modern ERP, ensuring quality and data integrity throughout migration process while managing data governance and security policies.
  • Collaborate with functional heads to understand business needs and translate them into functional requirements, documenting functional specifications and technical design documents, developing and customizing applications to meet business needs.
  • Ensure on-time, quality, and cost-effective delivery of all functional MS NAV/BC/D365 & Cloud projects and enhancement activities within the guidelines of the project methodology.

Process Improvement and Support

  • Identify opportunities to streamline business processes and improve system efficiencies, recommend and implement process changes to optimize functionalities in line with Al-Futtaim group and IKEA principal guidelines.
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for issues, administering SQL databases to ensure continuous performance tuning using Performance Monitor and other related monitoring/troubleshooting tools.

Required Skills To Be Successful:

  • Expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 solution and/or NAV/Business Central implementation.
  • Proficient in SQL database administration and programming.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Capability in API integrations and testing, with a solid understanding of cloud operations.

What Qualifies You For The Role:

  • Graduate in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar discipline with 7+ years experience in business analysis, system design & development, and implementation of ERP within the retail industry.
  • Strong understanding of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 solution and/or NAV/Business Central, Azure DevOps or other CI/CD tools.
  • Experience with API integrations and testing, and desirable knowledge in payment gateway integration.
  • Sound knowledge of SQL DB administration and programming, along with basic cloud operations knowledge (AWS or Azure).
