The opportunity
The System Administrator Storage opportunity sits within Pawsey Supercomputing Research Centre’s Platforms Team, which is responsible for maintaining and operating critical storage infrastructure used by researchers across Australia. Pawsey is a world‑class national facility operated by CSIRO on behalf of its university partners and government stakeholders.
As part of a team of experienced system administrators and technical specialists, you will support the reliability, performance and service delivery of Pawsey’s long‑term storage platforms and associated services, ensuring they meet agreed service expectations.
The role will be primarily hands‑on and onsite in Perth, involving work with physical servers, network fibre, disk and tape hardware. Success in this role will require strong collaboration, ticket management and close coordination with Pawsey colleagues and service partners.
