The successful candidate will form part of the System Administration team within Henderson Wholesale, supporting our operation and contributing to the wider warehouse function where required. The team are responsible for maintaining the Warehouse Management System (Manhattan), controlling stock and providing a comprehensive service across both Fresh and Ambient operations. This includes supporting the inbound and outbound teams within HWL, including Dispatch, Warehouse, Transport, Customer Service Desk and Trading teams. From time to time, flexibility will be required to provide cover and support business needs.
As a System Administrator, you will move beyond transactional processing and play a key role in maintaining and optimising the Warehouse Management System that underpins our warehouse operation. You will take ownership of system accuracy, data integrity and stock control across both inbound and outbound functions. You will regularly analyse daily and weekly reports such as Code Date, Held Location, Held Product and Product Purge reports to ensure the information held within the system is accurate and reflective of live operations. You will update and monitor key KPIs, supporting performance visibility across the department.
A significant part of the role involves investigating and resolving operational queries. This may include reviewing shorted products, analysing RF exceptions, checking product dimensions and inventory discrepancies, and responding to Customer Service, Trading, Buying and Finance queries. You will also troubleshoot system or equipment issues impacting warehouse operatives, acting as a key link between operational teams and system functionality.
You will play an active role in decision making within the warehouse environment. This includes prioritising RF activity, adjusting stock and product locations to optimise let-downs, reviewing promotional volumes and assigning new product locations based on operational need. You will also manage elements of system configuration such as user set-up, replenishment controls and location structures, ensuring the system continues to support an efficient and compliant operation.
Overall, this role requires someone who enjoys working with detail and data but is equally comfortable communicating across teams, influencing improvements and helping to keep the wider warehouse operation running smoothly. It would particularly suit someone who can adapt quickly, work across multiple areas and provide dependable support where business priorities require it.

This is a permanent role, working 36 hours per week. Days of work are as follows:
A degree of flexibility will be required in this role, including the ability to support both Fresh and Ambient operations as business needs require. This may also involve providing cover across a variety of shift patterns, including evenings and nights, as well as offering support across different roles within the wider team.
