Job Description

SuperCom (NASDAQ: SPCB) is a trusted name in advanced tracking, identification, and security solutions since 1988. We deliver multi-disciplinary solutions that combine hardware, software, communications, and cloud-based platforms in the fields of secure identity, public safety, and smart monitoring.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, collaborative, and highly motivated hands-on System Administrator with a DevOps mindset to join our infrastructure team and help build and maintain our customer-facing production environments, keeping them secure, monitored, and highly available.

This is not only a maintenance role. Together with the team you will stand up complete cloud and on-prem environments, configure network security, automate recurring operational work, and document it so the rest of the team can repeat it. We are looking for someone who takes ownership, wants to understand the full picture, is naturally curious and self-learning, and works independently and methodically, driving production issues to root cause rather than to a workaround.

Job description:

  • As part of the infrastructure team, build new customer environments from scratch and maintain them ongoing, in cloud (AWS / Azure) and on-prem: compute, networking, storage, load balancers, DNS, certificates, Active Directory, and application deployment
  • Own network security on Fortinet (FortiGate): security policies, NAT, routing, IPSec/SSL VPN tunnels, HA pairs, and FortiAuthenticator / FortiClient EMS
  • Manage Active Directory across all customer environments: user accounts, security groups, group policies, permissions, and access control
  • Maintain on-prem infrastructure: VMware / ESXi virtualization, backup and recovery, storage systems, and ongoing server maintenance, including Windows Server updates, patching, reboots, and health checks
  • Build and maintain monitoring and alerting, and handle the full lifecycle of SSL/TLS certificates across environments
  • Configure and maintain load balancers (HAProxy, Azure Application Gateway, Fortinet), DNS records, and firewall rules for proper access control and security compliance
  • Automate recurring operational work using scripting (PowerShell / Bash) and CI/CD tooling (Git, Jenkins)
  • Take part in periodic DR and site failover testing together with the team
  • Standardize IT processes, improve operational consistency across regions, and document recurring tasks and create runbooks so processes are repeatable and auditable

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in system administration, IT operations, or infrastructure engineering
  • Hands-on experience with Windows Server: RDP, IIS, Windows services, event logs, patching, and general server maintenance
  • Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure, including provisioning and networking (VNet/VPC, subnets, NSGs/security groups, gateways)
  • Solid networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs, routing, and VPN, with the ability to troubleshoot connectivity issues methodically
  • Scripting ability (PowerShell or equivalent) for automating operational tasks
  • Experience with monitoring systems and a strong, structured troubleshooting mindset
  • Strong working-level English, spoken and written, with the ability to communicate, document, and collaborate with international teams
  • Hands-on Fortinet FortiGate experience: security policies, NAT, routing, site-to-site / remote-access VPN, HA pairs, and FortiAuthenticator / FortiClient EMS - an advantage
  • Proven experience building environments from scratch, not only operating existing ones - an advantage
  • Virtualization (VMware / ESXi), backup and recovery (such as Veeam), and storage systems (SAN/NAS, LUN provisioning, iSCSI/Fibre Channel, RAID, capacity planning) - an advantage
  • DR and high-availability architecture: SQL Server Always On Availability Groups, Windows failover clustering, backup and recovery, including hands-on failover testing - an advantage
