System Administrator Citrix Netscaler (Mid-Level)

The Agency for Agriculture and Fisheries is looking for a Mid-Level Citrix Netscaler System Administrator to strengthen the IT Operations team within the Digitalization and Organization department.
You will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the organization's Citrix and Windows server infrastructure, ensuring operational stability, incident resolution, and continuous improvement of enterprise IT services.
Working within the Windows Server Team, you will support both operational and infrastructure-related activities in a complex enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, maintain, and support Citrix infrastructure environments
- Handle 2nd and 3rd line incidents and troubleshoot complex issues
- Perform maintenance on Citrix XenDesktop Servers and Remote Desktop Session Hosts
- Execute application and business release deployments on application servers
- Monitor and maintain the Windows Server infrastructure environment
- Support implementation requests and infrastructure improvements
- Collaborate with IT Operations teams to ensure service continuity and reliability
- Contribute to infrastructure optimization and operational efficiency
- Participate in system monitoring, upgrades, and lifecycle management
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a System Administrator
- Minimum 2 years of experience with Citrix Netscaler v12 or higher
- Minimum 2 years of experience with Citrix Provisioning Services (PVS) or Machine Creation Services (MCS)
- Minimum 2 years of experience with Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops v2212 or higher
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server environments and enterprise infrastructure
- Experience with system administration in Linux, Windows, networking, middleware, or security environments
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Dutch language proficiency at C2 level (mandatory)
Nice to Have
- Experience with Citrix Workspace Environment Manager (WEM)
- Knowledge of FSLogix Apps
- Experience with Citrix XenServer
- Knowledge of Microsoft Entra, Intune, and Active Directory/GPOs
- Experience with PowerShell scripting
- Knowledge of Microsoft Network Policy Services
- Familiarity with ITIL processes, especially change management
