Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat).
• Administer Windows Server environments (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy).
• Manage and optimize virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox, KVM).
• Configure and maintain network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Monitor system performance and ensure availability and reliability.
• Perform routine audits of systems and software.
• Apply OS patches and upgrades regularly, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities.
• Maintain system security using best practices, firewalls, and user access controls.
• Create and maintain documentation for systems, configurations, and procedures.
• Collaborate with the IT team on infrastructure projects and support escalated issues.

Qualifications, Skills & Abilities

• 3+ Proven experience as a Systems Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Linux system administration.
• Solid experience with Windows Server 2016/2019/2022.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or Proxmox.
• Hands-on experience with networking equipment and protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPN, routing).
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, Grafana, ELK).
• Scripting skills (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python) for automation and efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications include RHCSA/RHCE, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, CompTIA Network+, and CCNA.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.).
• Knowledge of backup solutions and disaster recovery planning.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Good communication and documentation abilities.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
