Salary: £39,939 - £42,699 per annum (pro rata for part time) (pay award pending)

Working Hours: Full time - 37 hours per week

Contract Type: Permanent

Are you an experienced Systems Administrator with detailed knowledge of Oracle Cloud? Are you ready to lead a small but strategically important team maintaining access and security for a shared Oracle Cloud system? Then this role may be for you!

About the Role

East Midlands Shared Services is a partnership between Leicestershire County Council and Nottingham City Council to provide a shared Oracle Platform and transactional finance, HR and payroll services. The Sys Admin Team Manager leads a key team in the support of the shared Oracle system by:

  • Managing access for users
  • Triaging all queries and incidents
  • Providing advice and guidance to key stakeholders and managers across the two councils
  • Operating a BACS bureau for all payments in and out of the system

In addition you will support team members to deliver a seamless service, ensuring that queries are answered with service level agreements and work with EMSS colleagues and managers to design and deliver service improvements. You will also support the Oracle Support Service Manager and EMSS Business Development Manager in responding to internal and external audit requirements.

About You

To apply for this post, you must be able to evidence in your application how you meet the following criteria:

  • Providing system support for Oracle to include managing configuration, developing and maintaining user access and roles, including in depth knowledge of Oracle security and access, sufficient to be able to advise partners and suppliers of issues and options.
  • NVQ Level 4 or equivalent qualification or equivalent level of relevant experience.
  • Providing support to Oracle users to resolve problems and issues, and of processing and overseeing BACS payments including knowledge of BACS payment systems and protocols.
  • Investigating complex issues in a Oracle Cloud system and devising solutions.
  • Supporting operation finance, HR or payroll teams to meet business objectives including reviewing new or existing processes.
  • Working with external IT support to create a seamless Oracle support service.
  • Working in a complex partnership arrangement and the impacts this has on managing system roles and access.
