In this role, you'll:


Have the opportunity to work on one of Australia’s most recognised and respected pieces of infrastructure, joining the team responsible for maintaining the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge. You will undertake a variety of tasks associated with the maintenance of timber, steel and concrete bridge structures, including supporting other trades as required. The role also involves operating a range of equipment and machinery and performing general labouring duties.

You will also contribute towards the following responsibilities:
• Managing routine problems within your scope of work independently by applying your knowledge and following standard guidelines and manuals
• Operating plant and machinery safely, efficiently and to a high level of skill

About you


The successful candidate will bring experience in a similar role, ideally gained within a heavy industrial, construction or maintenance environment. You will have demonstrated capability in performing routine servicing and maintenance on plant and equipment such as compressors, gantries, dust extractors and vehicles, as well as preparing surfaces using hand tools, power tools or abrasive blasting techniques.

You will also:
• Work effectively as part of a team and contribute to a positive, collaborative work environment
• Communicate clearly and confidently with colleagues, supervisors and trades staff
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• Hold a current, unrestricted NSW motor vehicle driver’s licence
• Hold a current Construction Industry White Card and have a Working at Heights accreditation

We are recruiting for two permanent full time positions, working Monday to Friday within a 38 hour week and a 9 day fortnight. You will also have opportunities for further training and ongoing career development. The salary for each position is Grade 3 Sydney Harbour Bridge Worker — $1,390.50 per week plus superannuation. In addition to the base salary, further allowances will be paid when performing relevant tasks. The successful applicants may also be required to work outside regular working hours on occasion.
