About the Role

We are hiring an Assistant Accountant to support the team in preparing financial information to the management and regulatory authorities that include financial accounting and reporting, accounts payable, audit and tax matters. This role will support the team in keeping financial records up-to-date and accurate, management reporting and budgeting process, as well as handling queries from internal and external stakeholders:

The successful candidate will:

• Help manage day-to-day accounting and finance operations
• Prepare, review, and verify invoices & claims for accuracy and completeness before submitting them for approval
• Handle month end closing reports and filings (BAS)
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or issues
• Assist with audits by providing necessary information and supporting documentation
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies, and procedures

Role Requirement

• Degree/Diploma in Finance/Accounting or equivalent Professional Accounting Qualifications.
• 1 to 3 years of working experience in related field
• Experience in accounts payable, BAS filings, management reports
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment

Salary Range

AUD5,500 to AUD 7,500 per month
