The Opportunity:

Are you an experienced Learn to Swim Instructor ready to take the next step into leadership? Do you enjoy mentoring others, delivering high-quality lessons, and building strong relationships with families? We are seeking a Swim Teacher in Charge to lead our swim school program at Casuarina & Nightcliff and support front-of-house customer service operations, ensuring a safe, engaging, and
welcoming experience for all participants.

As the Swim Teacher in Charge, you will provide leadership during swim school shifts, support and mentor instructors, and ensure lessons are delivered to a high standard and in line with program guidelines. You’ll also work closely with families, support swim school enrolments and accounts and assist with general customer service and front desk supervision.

This is a hands-on role that combines teaching, leadership, administration, and customer experience

Key Responsibilities:

·Lead and supervise Learn to Swim programs during allocated shifts

·Deliver engaging, safe, and developmentally appropriate swimming lessons

·Support lesson planning, lane allocations, equipment setup and pack-down

·Ensure lessons follow approved program formats and compliance requirements

·Complete student assessments and manage class changes and progression

·Mentor and support Learn to Swim Instructors to ensure consistent delivery

·Maintain accurate attendance, assessment notes, and enrolment records

·Provide exceptional customer service to swim school families

·Respond to enquiries, feedback, and concerns with professionalism and care

·Support swim school enrolments, transfers, and customer account enquiries

·Assist with front desk supervision and promote centre programs and services

·Work collaboratively within a team to ensure safe and efficient operations

Qualifications and Experience

·AUSTSWIM / Swim Australia (or equivalent) Teacher of
Swimming & Water Safety

·Experience delivering Learn to Swim programs

·Current CPR and First Aid certification

·Current Working With Children Check (or equivalent)

·Strong customer service and communication skills
