What You’ll Do as a Swim Instructor

• Teaching students (as young as 3 months!) and adults how to swim using our proven, gentle, and engaging methods.
• Bringing high energy and positivity to every lesson - you’ll be your students' biggest cheerleader!
• Creating a safe, welcoming environment where kids feel encouraged to learn and grow.
• Working in the water for your entire four hour shift - this isn’t a dry, on-the-sidelines kind of job!
• Engaging with families and keeping them updated on their swimmer’s progress.

Who We're Looking For


If you’re energetic, patient, and love working with kids, this role is a perfect match. You don’t need to be an expert swimmer - we’ll train you!

If you love working with people, staying active, and making an impact, we want to meet you!

What You Need to Succeed

• A fun, enthusiastic personality
• Comfortable in and around water
• A passion for working with kids
• High school diploma (or in progress)
• Able to be on your feet in the pool for 4 hours at a time and occasionally assist in lifting kids.
• ️ Bonus points if you have: Experience working with children or Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED certifications (but not required).

While we teach swimming to people of all ages and abilities, most of our students are preschool and elementary-aged kids. Our instructors should like working with this age group and be good at making parents feel comfortable. It's helpful if you have experience with children or in a child-focused job, but it's not required if you can show the right attitude. The job comes with specialized training in our advanced and unique British Swim School approach.

We also have exciting opportunities with our Customer Service Team, even if you're not in the pool. These are the people committed to providing the best service in the industry. In these roles, you might talk to parents on the phone or by the pool. Wherever you are, the aim is to make everyone feel like part of the British Swim School Family as we focus on ensuring the “Survival of the Littlest.”
