Imagine teaching kids and adults the important life-skill of swimming...now imagine doing that in a brand-new indoor facility...and finally, imagine doing that with a bunch of other great teammates! That's Waterloo. We are looking for individuals passionate about teaching kids and adults. We'll teach you how to teach swimming, but by joining our team you will be working with the best swim instructors in the area.
Under the supervision and direction of the Deck Manager and/or Director, the Swim Instructor is required to perform the following essential job duties:
* Arrive to work on time and ready to perform duties
* Provide all levels of instruction to individuals of all ages (6 months and up)
* Effectively teach swimming skills and water safety to students in a progressive sequence
* Run organized and well-executed classes as defined by Waterloo Swimming
* Incorporate diverse and fun activities into lessons
* Demonstrate responsibility toward equipment, e.g. clipboard, pool toys, pool covers, and supplies (keep in order, well maintained, and return to their proper location)
