Job Description

Nashville Swim Academy serves students 4-months and older. We are looking for reliable, enthusiastic, and motivated swim instructors who have a passion for the water and enjoy working with children. Nashville Swim Academy is committed to providing a safe, nurturing environment where children learn to and love to swim. While safety is our highest priority, we believe each child should be free to develop a personal, positive relationship with the water.

Essential Functions:

• Provide a safe and nurturing environment where each child can learn to swim
• Communicate with children in a positive way
• Give each child attention and provide helpful, constructive feedback regarding stroke technique throughout class
• Provide hands-on instruction to enhance students' technical skills
• Organize class activities based on the needs of each swimmer

Qualifications:

• Prior experience working with young children, ages 2-8, in a structured, positive learning environment
• Ability to effectively communicate with children and adolescents
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
• Patience and sense of humor
• Enthusiasm and passion for working with children

Recommended (but not required):

• Basic understanding of the four competitive swimming strokes
• A background in competitive swimming
• CPR/AED Certification

Compensation: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Member schools are independently owned and operated. Your application will go directly to the member school, and all hiring decisions will be made by the management of this school.
