REQUIREMENTS FOR SWIM INSTRUCTORS
As a swim instructor, you will teach students of all ages in accordance with the British Swim School aquatics program. Even if you are not an expert swim instructor, that’s ok! We can train anyone on how to teach the way we teach, but here is what we do need from you.

Job Title: Swim Instructor
Reports to: Aquatics Director/Franchise Owner
Locations: We have 3 locations in the Linthicum Heights /Hanover and/or Greenbelt and/or Lansdowne/ Halethorpe areas.
Swim Instructors at British Swim School Patapsco Valley teach lessons to children and adults to become safe and happy swimmers, regardless of age or ability. Adherence to British Swim School teaching curriculum ensures that each student in our program learns water survival skills and then progresses to propulsion and stroke development in a fun and gentle environment.
Conduct classes in a fun and gentle environment, following current teaching methods, policies and safety and emergency procedures as detailed in the British Swim School training manual and as directed by the Aquatics Director or Franchise Owner
Other responsibilities as assigned by the Aquatics Director/Franchise Owner
Qualifications
Successful completion of British Swim School Swim Instructor internal training
Compensation: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

While we teach swimming to people of all ages and abilities, most of our students are preschool and elementary-aged kids. Our instructors should like working with this age group and be good at making parents feel comfortable. It's helpful if you have experience with children or in a child-focused job, but it's not required if you can show the right attitude. The job comes with specialized training in our advanced and unique British Swim School approach.
We also have exciting opportunities with our Customer Service Team, even if you're not in the pool. These are the people committed to providing the best service in the industry. In these roles, you might talk to parents on the phone or by the pool. Wherever you are, the aim is to make everyone feel like part of the British Swim School Family as we focus on ensuring the “Survival of the Littlest.”
Each franchise location is independently owned and operated by a franchisee (franchise owner).
