Blockchain & Backend Developer

About the Role

We are looking for a Blockchain & Backend Developer with 4+years of experience to join our team in building enterprise-grade decentralized solutions. In this role, you will develop smart contracts, build robust backend services, and integrate applications with enterprise systemsonAzure. Working in an Agile/Scrum environment, you will collaborate closely with senior engineers, Product, Security, and DevOps to deliver reliable code from development to production.

WhatYou’llDo

• Develop Blockchain Solutions Build andmaintaindecentralized applications (dApps), including writing smart contracts, defining ledger logic, and handling data persistence patterns under the guidance of senior architects.

• Backend & API Development Implement high-performance backend services, REST/GraphQLAPIs, and integration layers, ensuring clean code, proper pagination, and backward compatibility.

• Cloud IntegrationAssistin deploying andmaintainingblockchain nodes and supporting microservices on Azure environments (e.g., AKS, Azure SQL/PostgreSQL, Key Vault, Service Bus).

• Implement Security Standards Apply cryptographic signature models,permissioningframeworks, certificate management, and secure data privacy practices.

• Testing & CI/CD Write comprehensive automated tests (unit, integration, and smart contract tests) andutilizeCI/CD pipelines via Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions for continuous delivery.

• Agile CollaborationParticipateactively in Scrum ceremonies, estimate your own development tasks, and collaborate with QA and DevOps to resolve bugs and deployment blockers.

Required Qualifications

• Professional backend software development experience using Java, Kotlin, or Go

• Hands-on experienceor familiarity inwriting and deploying smart contracts or working directly with distributed ledger technology (DLT).

• Solid understandingof blockchain fundamentals: consensus mechanisms, basic cryptography, transaction flows, and smart contract states.

• AI Workflow Optimization:Architect and implement AI-assisted developer workflows using modern tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Replit) to draft, document, and scale application features.

• Code Review & Quality Assurance:Critically review AI-generated code drafts for logic, edge-case handling, security, and performance constraints

• Experience with Azure Familiarity with cloud provisioning, Key Vault, containerization (Docker, AKS), and basic application monitoring.

• Proficiencywith microservices, API design, and standard security protocols like OAuth2 and mTLS

• Toolingexpertise Git, Jira, Gradle/Maven, and standard CI/CD workflows.

• Strong communicationand team collaboration skills, with a desire to learn from senior engineers.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with enterprise DLTssuch as R3 Corda, Hyperledger Fabric, or Ethereum/EVM-based frameworks.

• Database experience Working knowledge of PostgreSQL, database migration tools (Liquibase/Flyway), or basic query optimization.

• Infrastructure as Code Basic exposure to Terraform, Bicep, or Kubernetes.

• Domain experience Background or interest in capital markets, payments, trade finance, or supply chain.

• Prompt Engineering & Tooling:Design highly effective prompt libraries, system instructions, and agent workflows that align with our engineering standards.
