Job Description
- Lead financial management of the Wholesale Banking business to achieve profitability and balance sheet against Budget/Forecast.
- Provide strategic financial direction, insights, and performance analysis to support business growth.
- Translate business strategy into measurable financial and operational deliverables.
- Lead the annual budgeting process and monthly forecast cycles, ensuring alignment with overall bank, segment and product strategy.
- Develop forward-looking projections to assess performance trends, identify risks, and recommend proactive actions.
- Ensure appropriate procedures are introduced to mitigate potential risk factors in respect to business financial performance.
- Oversee cost management, including internal cost allocation methodologies between business and support units to ensure cost discipline and transparency. Identify opportunities for cost optimization to improve resource allocation.
- Participate in development and preparation of financial stress testing for the Wholesale Banking business and assess the impact on the business.
- Oversee capital and balance sheet management for Wholesale Banking, ensuring optimal deployment of capital, assets and funding strategies.
- Support Capital Working Group and Asset, Liability Working Group with insightful analysis on balance sheet trends, funding mix and liquidity positions.
- Analyse impact of Capital and Balance Sheet strategies on Wholesale Banking balance sheet structures, capital usage and returns.
- Act as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders, including the Business Unit and Product Heads, CFO and Group counterparts.
- Lead a high-performing team, build strong financial management skillset within the team and foster a culture of continuous improvement and business partnership.
- Ensure adherence to compliance policies, procedures, framework and processes for Wholesale Banking Business Finance team and continuously improve controls to mitigate financial and operational risk.
- Build a strong collaborative culture between Business Units and Support Functions to ensure strategic alignment, operational efficiency and effective delivery of business outcomes.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong analytical skills and ability to manage large sets of data.
- Ability to interpret trends in market and impact on strategy and plans.
- Sharp commercial focus, analytical mindset, consultative engagement style, innovative problem- solving approach, and strong achievement orientation.
- Strong interpersonal skills needed to ensure effective engagement and drive effectiveness with multiple teams across Bank.
- Strong understanding of Wholesale Banking business including product knowledge and drivers both financial and non-financial in nature.
- Ability to prioritise and drive change management.
- A recognised Degree in preferably in Accounting, Finance, Mathematic or Statistic
- Minimum 15 years of working experience in the similar field
- Independent, resourceful and meticulous in work approach.
- Ability to motivate and influence others.
