The Opportunity: Role Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented SVP, Group Account Director to join our dynamic team. This entrepreneurial individual is responsible for profitability and delivery of agency services for their assigned accounts. This individual will be instrumental in leading internal change efforts, developing strategic plans, and managing and organically growing client relationships while balancing business goals with people and culture development He or she must be a seasoned agency professional with a proven track record of strategically leading client accounts and launching transformational marketing campaigns for them.

Note: Requires travel.

Key Responsibilities

Core Function:

  • Take ownership of the financial health of accounts.
  • Deliver strategic client presentations, recommendations, and annual brand plans.
  • Support new business initiatives and pitches.
  • Management and mentorship of junior team members.
  • Maintain strong client relationships, ensuring overall satisfaction with the team and agency.
  • Communicate strategy and tactical plans effectively across large multidisciplinary teams.
  • Develop new ideas that align with customer and brand goals.
  • Actively monitor the headlines for current brand and competitor news, trends, and white space opportunity.

What You'll Bring: Required Qualifications

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Experience:
    • 18–25 years of experience in a pharmaceutical or healthcare marketing agency.
    • Effective presentation, mentorship, and client-facing skills.

Specialized Knowledge:

  • Solid understanding of Veeva systems and client requirements.
  • Master of industry trends and guidelines (eg, CAN-SPAM, privacy policy, etc).
  • Fluent in market research methodology and approaches.
  • Possess deep knowledge of category and competitive set, as well as client pipeline.
  • Understand FDA rules/regulations and life cycle of a brand.
  • Excellent understanding of the digital marketplace and ad formats.

Skills:

  • Ability to think strategically, creatively, and collaboratively.
  • Ability to effectively lead and collaborate with multiple team members.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

  • Media, analytics, and measurement experience.
  • Advanced degree (e.g., Master's, PharmD, PhD).
