SV. FINANCIAL PLANNING & STEERING

BMW MEXICO

As the next Sv. Financial Planning & Steering you will serve as a cornerstone of the Controlling department, balancing rigorous financial stewardship with a growth-oriented mindset. In this role, you will be responsible for orchestrating the delicate balance between mitigating risk and maximizing market opportunities across our BMW, MINI and Motorrad divisions. You will lead the financial planning, analysis, and steering activities to ensure that every strategic decision reinforces the organization’s long-term sustainability, profitability, and compliance framework. By providing expert guidance and driving digital transformation in our controlling processes, you will ensure that our financial performance remains aligned with both local ambitions and global corporate objectives.

WHAT AWAITS YOU?

  • Ensure financial discipline, transparency, and performance management aligned with corporate objectives according to gross profit, contribution margin, cost of retail and projects.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive financial insights and optimize controlling processes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the financial planning and controlling functions.
  • Align financial plans and reporting standards with regional and global controlling teams.
  • Support month-end & quarterly closing routines such as provisions to support Accounting in the submission to BMW AG all Financial Statements of the company according to BMW AG accounting standards.

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING ALONG?

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning, controlling, or related finance functions, preferably within the automotive industry.
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams or projects.
  • Demonstrated track record of driving financial process improvements and managing complex budgeting and forecasting cycles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to effectively influence and represent financial perspectives within commercial areas, while maintaining a collaborative and solution-oriented approach during challenging decision-making situations.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English is required to facilitate communication across regional and global teams (German knowledge is considered a strong advantage).
