Sustainment Futures Analyst

KBR is seeking a Sustainment Futures Analyst to support a Space Systems Command (SSC) Program Management Office (PMO) located at Peterson Space Force Base (PSFB), CO. We conduct Operations & Sustainment (O&S) activities for state-of-the-art Military and Commercial Satellite Communications (SATCOM) and Nuclear Command, Control and Communications (NC3) systems, providing global secure, survivable and protected communications for our Nation’s warfighters.

KBR is the prime contractor on the MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (MSEIT) contract. MSEIT provides leading edge Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) services for the USAF and USSF. We provide exceptional support for state-of-the-art government space systems, terminals and software applications, providing secure, survivable, and protected communications globally for our Nation’s warfighters. We are looking for an experienced, proactive Sustainment Futures Analyst to perform programmatic and technical analyses using operational and logistical statistics to produce capability-based assessments while identifying current and future analytic needs. The ideal candidate will validate reporting by identifying reporting challenges and inconsistencies to recommend get-well strategies to reported data, which will increase the fidelity of assessments relating to the health of NC3 capabilities. The ideal candidate will contribute to and write historic and predictive analysis products that will have a direct, positive impact on NC3 readiness by building a holistic picture of required actions and milestones associated with legacy and transitioning capabilities to operations and sustainment. Join our high-functioning, high-performing MSEIT Sustainment Integrated Product Team (IPT) and be an important part of directly and positively affecting Joint and Allied combat readiness as they employ MILSATCOM and NC3 space systems, terminals and software applications worldwide during full spectrum military operations.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Collect logistics and operations and sustainment (O&S) data and perform predictive analysis for a diverse portfolio of strategic NC3 terminals
• Proactively recommend logistics-based solutions and plans for spares management, acquisition, and distribution to optimize reliability and availability of NC3 systems
• Analyze and compare data for inconsistencies and gaps; help develop and implement solutions
• Monitor equipment performance, hardware/software lists, and obsolescence data to track trends related to breakage or failure
• Perform analyses to determine system maintainability, reliability, and supportability requirements and document results of the analyses in a report format
• Work with the government and contractor team to develop and execute logistics solutions and strategies
• Analyze developer plans, evaluate proposed sustainment activities, and develop recommendations for potential solutions
• Roadmap current operations and sustainment efforts for legacy and transitioning NC3 capabilities, initiative activities, technical refreshes, and software upgrades for the NC3 terminals portfolio
• Using programmatic acumen, monitor program activities and provide recommendations for process improvements and solutions to promote facilitate planning and resourcing to enable continuous equipment availability and reliability
• Support sustainment analysis efforts to capture current combat readiness metrics and actions
• Travel: Less than 20%

Qualifications:

Required:

• An active DoW SECRET clearance with ability to attain a TS/SCI clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management or related field from an accredited university
• 5 years experience in DoW Space Operations, Life Cycle Logistics, Intel Community (IC), and/or DoW Acquisition
• Experience with DoW's 12 Product Support Elements - knowledgeable
• Experience with Life Cycle Logistics – knowledgeable
• Strong analytical mind with proactive problem-solving skills
• Knowledgeable in DoD/DA publications and forms
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams); possess awareness of MS Project and MS PowerBI applications

Desired:

• 5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain management roles, or intelligence analysis
• 5+ years of experience in a DoW program office with an understanding of DoW acquisition processes
• Knowledge of NC3 and/or MILSATCOM systems (e.g., AEHF, Milstar, FAB-T, Global-ASNT, etc.)
• Knowledge of Life Cycle Cost Analysis, support equipment requirements, and logistics support analysis
• Knowledge of US Government Communications Security (COMSEC) equipment
• Knowledge of various DoD/industry supply and logistics databases
• Knowledge of DoW Demilitarization & Disposal processes
• Knowledge of Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation (PHS&T) Logistics
• Knowledge of DoW Joint Planning such as Joint Pub 4.0, Joint Logistics
• Knowledge of DoW Property Accountability
• Knowledge of DAF Operations & Maintenance
• Knowledge of DAF Design Interface processes
• Knowledge of DAF Maintenance Planning & Management
• Knowledge of DAF Requirements Management processes
• Knowledge of DAF Risk, Issue, and Opportunity (RIO) processes
• Knowledge of DAF Technical Data Packages and processes
• Familiarity with DAF Configuration Management processes
• Familiarity with FAR 52.245-1 and DFARS Clauses
• Familiarity with Wide Area Workflow, IUID Registry, GFP Management through PIEE
• Current Certified Professional Logistician (CPL) certification
• Current NPMA Certification (CPPS, CPPA, CPPM)
• Current Counterfeit Component Detection Certificate
• Current Project Management Institute (PMI) Program Management Professional (PMP) certification

This position is 100% onsite at Peterson Space Force Base's (PSFB), Product Support Facility (PSF) given mission requirements and is not eligible for formal hybrid or full remote employment options.

Basic Compensation: $82,500 - $103,100 in Colorado Springs, CO

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
