
Sustainability at Williams-Sonoma, Inc. (WSI) encompasses our environmental and social initiatives. In this position, you will be focused primarily on our environmental initiatives and will be involved in a wide array of projects for the South East Asia market (primarily Vietnam & Indonesia), which will include action on climate change with our key suppliers, HIGG FEM, raw material traceability, responsibly sourced product tracking, supply chain mapping, product certification & water stewardship. You will contribute to the success of WSI's sustainability initiatives by ensuring these projects are expertly executed with the timely collection, management, and analysis of data from our supply chain partners.
An ideal candidate should have an interest in creating business solutions to sustainability issues and be comfortable working on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities:
Support the WSI Sustainability team in in achieving goals related to climate change & responsible materials in South East Asia
Oversee self-managed and third-party environmental (e.g. HIGG Index) and energy assessments in supply chain and vendor base
Support Scope 3 emissions reduction strategy with supply chain to accelerate impact toward energy and emission reduction goals
Support data collection, data analysis and reporting of environmental sustainability KPIs to ensure 100% completion
Track progress on projects in an organized and methodical way to ensure vendors and internal stakeholders meet deadlines
Drive improvements in vendors environmental performance through training, one-one engagement
Ensure vendors comply with international regulations and internal procurement policies
Highlight opportunities and influence internal stakeholders to drive business integration of sustainability
Socialize environmental goals/strategy/ to in-country team and update SG/corporate sustainability team the progress of in-country initiatives
Build networks with sustainability industry in Sth East Asia to track trends, benchmark and find opportunities for collaboration.
Desirable Qualifications and Competencies:
Tertiary education in environmental management, sustainability, supply chain management, or related fields (desirable)
Minimum 2 years of working experience in sustainability, experience in climate change & scope 3 emissions reduction projects is an advantage
Detail oriented with proven analytical skills
Comfortable analyzing large data sets and using data to develop recommendations for action
Independent and proactive in setting own goals and deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Skills (especially Excel)
