Job Description

This position will support UW Bothell’s application for the Carnegie Elective Classification for Sustainability The student assists with data collection, documentation, and coordination with campus partners to ensure a well-organized process.

All new student employees must also complete UW's online Title IX course about preventing and responding to sex-and gender-based violence and harassment.

Job Hours and Pay Rate

Time: 6 - 12 hours a week

Pay: $21.30

GPA: Minimum 3.0

Employment period: Position runs from July 1st to December 31st, must commit to full period

Department Office of Sustainability

Supervisor: Sustainability Coordinator, Shahrzad Tehrani (she/her) stehrani@uw.edu

Job Duties

  • Researchand organizedata across UW Bothell’s academics, operations, and engagement programs.
  • Support outreach to campus departments and partners to collect required information.
  • Track data sources and documents used for reporting to ensure accuracy and recordkeeping.
  • Assist with drafting summaries, narratives, and data tables.
  • Support with tracking application requirements, timelines, word limits, and required uploads.
  • Maintain organized digital files and shared project folders.

Qualifications

  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently
  • Contribute professionally and respectfully to our diverse and inclusive work environment
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft environment (SharePoint, Excel, Word)
  • Current UW Bothell Student
  • Enrolled in 6 or more undergraduate credits for Fall 2026
  • 3.0 or higher GPA, good academic standing
