Job Description

Job Purpose and Impact

The Cocoa Program Coordinator will support the implementation of cocoa sustainability programs in Central Sulawesi. The role is responsible for coordinating field activities, supporting farmers and local partners, ensuring program implementation aligns with workplans and targets, and supporting certification and monitoring processes. The position will work closely with project managers, field partners, farmer groups, traders, and other stakeholders to ensure successful program delivery.

Key Accountabilities

  • Supporting project managers and coordinating implementation project activities in ensuring successful delivery within workplan and achievement.
  • Responsible in the field implementation of cocoa program, including the basic and customer program.
  • Coordinate and manage the implementation project with third party to make sure whole the program run as well and the farmers and traders as certification members in Indonesia to receiving Rainforest Alliance certification standard.
  • Monitor project timelines, milestones, and budgets to ensure successful and timely completion.
  • Managing workload, resources, risk, as well as communicating effectively with project team members, internal and external stakeholders.
  • Providing strategic advice to support the implementation of a complex program with the focus on driving strategic and preparing external audit and monitoring project implementation progress and addressing any issue or deviation from plan and support the team.
  • Working closely with Data & Report Management to develop KPI, M&E tools and reporting

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Agribusiness, Forestry, Environmental Science, Rural Development, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in project coordination, preferably in agriculture, cocoa sector, or rural development programs
  • Experience working directly with farmers, cooperatives, or producer groups.
  • Familiarity with sustainability standards or certification systems such as Rainforest Alliance, Fairtrade, or similar programs is highly desirable.
  • Strong project coordination and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders including farmers, government agencies, NGOs, and private sector partners.
  • Willingness to travel frequently and work in rural areas in Sulawesi and other project area.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with data collection tools is an advantage.
  • Knowledge and familiar with remote sensing and GIS application (e.g. ArcGIS, google Earth) is an advantage.
  • Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia; working knowledge of English is preferred.
