Requirements

Your Function

As Sustainability Manager, you are responsible for driving and delivering the Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy for Van de Velde. With a strong project driven mindset, you build bridges between departments and ensure that sustainability remains top of mind across the organization. You coordinate and drive sustainability projects, create and manage sustainability reports, keeping the business informed about the latest trends, developments, and regulations in the sustainability landscape.

Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for defining and implementing a sustainability strategy that is in line with our business strategy. By translating this plan into clear actions, you help to create and embed a sustainability culture.

  • Project management holds no secrets to you. Whether you are coordinating a project team, following up on the status, or ensuring that results are achieved, you thrive when working out a project from A to Z.

  • You help build sustainability reports by critically analyzing data collected from various stakeholders.

  • You strengthen existing relationships with key stakeholders and collaborate with the relevant departments to develop and implement sustainability initiatives.

  • You stay on top of trends and communicate internally about norms and regulations regarding sustainability. You take proactive action where needed.

Your Profile

  • You have a master's degree with 10+ years of experience in leading projects to success.

  • You have a strong affinity with sustainability. You stay up to date with the latest trends and know how to translate them into concrete actions within an organization.

  • Working closely with stakeholders energizes you. You have the ability to convince, motivate, and influence others. You aim to build long‑term, trust‑based relationships.

  • Your creative yet data‑driven mindset enables you to lead projects from A to Z with structure, clarity, and impact.

  • You understand organizational processes and are able to keep the bigger picture in mind at all times.

  • Experience in product management and/or within a supply chain context is a strong plus.

  • You are fluent in both English and Dutch and feel confident speaking in public in either language.
