Our client is a leading figure in the Multimedia Production Industry, renowned for delivering rich, insightful content that shapes and celebrates the essence of Nigerian /African fashion, music, and entertainment, both locally and globally. They are looking to hire a
Sustainability and Training Manager to be based in Lagos.

Role Overview

The Sustainability and Training Manager is responsible for leading the design, coordination and growth of the company’s sustainability, training and impact initiatives. The role will drive the planning and implementation of structured learning and capacity building programmes, with a particular focus on platforms. The company's Filmmaker project and other initiatives that support talent development, youth empowerment and creative industry growth.
The role will ensure that training and sustainability initiatives are operationally sound, well-managed, financially disciplined and capable of delivering measurable social impact. This includes oversight of programme planning, facilitator coordination, stakeholder management, digital learning platforms, monitoring and evaluation and partnership development.
The Sustainability and Training Manager will play a key role in positioning company’s sustainability portfolio as a credible and scalable platform for industry development, learning and long-term impact within the creative and digital economy.

Key Responsibilities

a) Strategy and Programme Development

• Support the development and implementation of company’s sustainability and training strategy.
• Translate organisational priorities into structured programmes, learning initiatives and impact-led interventions.
• Help position company’s sustainability portfolio as a credible platform for talent development and industry capacity building.
• Contribute to the long-term growth and institutional strengthening of the company's Project and related initiatives.

b) Training and Learning Programme Management

• Lead the planning and delivery of training programmes, learning cycles, workshops and development initiatives.
• Coordinate curriculum development, facilitator engagement, learner experience and programme delivery schedules.
• Oversee the execution of both in-person and digital learning programmes.
• Ensure training initiatives are practical, relevant and aligned with target learner needs.

c) Digital Learning Platform Oversight

• Support and manage the operational effectiveness of digital learning platforms and LMS tools used for programme delivery.
• Monitor learner journeys, engagement levels, completion rates and content performance.
• Work with internal and external teams to improve user experience, onboarding and programme accessibility.

d) Partnerships, Stakeholder and Ecosystem Engagement

• Identify, build and manage relationships with facilitators, training institutions, sponsors, funding partners, ecosystem partners and collaborators.
• Seek and support the development of strategic partnerships that strengthen programme delivery and sustainability.
• Coordinate external stakeholders involved in capacity-building and impact-led initiatives.

e) Budget Management and Resource Stewardship

• Support the preparation and management of programme budgets.
• Monitor expenditure and ensure financial discipline across sustainability and training initiatives.
• Assist in identifying sponsorship, grant, and funding opportunities to support programme growth.

f) Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting

• Develop and manage frameworks to track programme delivery, learner engagement, and impact outcomes.
• Maintain dashboards and reports covering participation, completion, outcomes, and overall programme effectiveness.
• Provide regular performance and impact reports to the CEO and relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure that programme learning and data inform future planning and decision-making.

g) Risk, Governance and Process Management

• Identify and mitigate operational and reputational risks related to programme delivery.
• Maintain clear processes, documentation, and oversight structures across all training and sustainability activities.
• Ensure initiatives are delivered in line with governance expectations and required standards.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in education, Social Development, Management, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree is an advantage)
• Minimum of 6–8 years relevant experience in programme management, learning and development, training, sustainability,or impact-led initiatives
• Proven experience designing and delivering structured training or capacity-building programmes
• Hands-on experience managing digital learning platforms or Learning Management Systems (LMS).
• Strong understanding of digital learning ecosystems and learner experience design.
• Experience working with digital learning platforms or LMS environments
• Demonstrated experience managing cohort-based learning or training initiatives.
• Ability to design scalable learning programmes combining online and in-person delivery
• Experience establishing programme monitoring and evaluation frameworks
• Experience managing partnerships, facilitators, and external stakeholders
• Experience managing programme budgets and financial planning.
• Strong data and analytics capability.
• Experience operating within structured corporate governance environments.
• Exposure to the media, creative industry, education, or digital learning sector is an advantage
• Strong understanding of the Nigerian creative and digital skills landscape is desirable
• Knowledge of the creative and digital skills landscape in Nigeria is an advantage.
• Demonstrated passion for youth empowerment, sustainability and capacity-building initiatives.
• Knowledge of sustainability, impact, or social development programming is an advantage.
