We Are Offering A $1,000 Sign-on Bonus!

My Life My Choice, a survivor-led program of the Justice Resource Institute working to end the commercial sexual exploitation of children is looking for a Survivor Mentor to become part of our team.

The commercial sexual exploitation of children (CSEC) is an egregious form of child abuse that constitutes any sexual activity with a minor for which something of value is given, exchanged, or promised. My Life My Choice is a survivor-led pioneer in the fight to end CSEC. We offer a continuum of survivor-led services including Survivor Mentoring, intensive case management, groupwork and mental health services; exploitation prevention solutions; and professional training and advocacy.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $22.00 to $24.00 per hour. The listed range reflects what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting the position. The actual compensation an employee is offered may vary based on several factors such as experience, education, licensure, certifications and qualifications. This range may be modified in the future.

Sign-On Bonus: We offer a $1,000 sign-on bonus after 90 days of employment.

As A Survivor Mentor, You Will:

  • Provide one-on-one support to adolescent mentees in Eastern Massachusetts.
  • Participate in comprehensive training to effectively mentor adolescent mentees (regardless of gender) who have experienced commercial sexual exploitation.
  • Collaborate with fellow My Life My Choice team members to create tailored support services, educational resources, and placement plans for each mentee.
  • Work together with external service providers, including law enforcement, to enhance the safety of each mentee and facilitate prosecutions when appropriate.
  • Document each interaction with your mentees consistently and thoroughly.
  • Access training and professional development opportunities to thrive as a survivor leader.
  • Have the chance to co-facilitate exploitation prevention groups for youth.

Requirements:

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED or HiSET credentials.
  • Personal history as a survivor of commercial sexual exploitation as a child, adolescent or young adult. This may include exploitation through online platforms (i.e. Only Fans, social media platforms, webcamming, etc.), forced migration, prostitution, stripping, pornography, or commercial exchange of explicit images.
  • A minimum of five years of recovery from sexual exploitation (having exited the commercial sex industry).
  • Applicant residing in a Massachusetts community south of Boston preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred, but not required.
  • A positive mindset and belief in the possibility of recovery from commercial sexual exploitation.
  • Ability to work some nights and/or weekends is required.
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is required.
