Job Description

Evergreen Innovation Group, part of the DPR Family of Companies, is seeking an experienced Surveyorto support our team in the implementation of building control, laser scanning capture, and post-processing efforts at designated jobsite(s). Responsibilities will include but may not be limited to the following:

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the overall Field Technology & Engineering services and designated projects.

  • Support existing conditions and as-built surveys for upcoming and current projects throughout the region.

  • Support and/or perform initial surveying and field layout activities with robotic total stations to support field validation, qualitycontroland quality assurance.

  • Perform construction building layout with robotic total stations to support field validation, qualitycontrol,and quality assurance.

  • Plan and execute field survey activitiesin accordance withstandards set by the project team.

  • Plan and perform layout set out and back-check tasks.

  • Leverageappropriate setup procedures using a robotic total station including known backsight and multi-point resections.

  • Perform benchmark transfers using an auto level.

  • Ensure all labor, equipment, and materials are organized and equipment firmware is up to date.

  • Support/Perform sUAS and 360 Photo capture and post processing activities.

  • Assistwith reality capture servicesutilizingterrestrial laser scanning and sUAS/photogrammetry tools to capture, process, and document existing and as-built conditions of interior and exterior spaces.

  • Support project teams and VDC engineers on theutilizationand analysis of reality capture deliverables (point clouds, meshes, 360 photos, etc.).

  • Serve as a point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders by providing regular updates on project status and responding to questions related to scope, schedule, and constructability.

  • Collaborate with project leadership to support the project team, providing technical input on electrical scope items andassistingwith issue resolution.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts in project delivery and execution.

  • Promote a safe working environment on all project sites.

Required Skills and Abilities

We are looking for a flexible, detail-oriented individual that will relish performing in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, with ability to multi-task, produce quality deliverables, and meet project-based deadlines. The successful candidate will have:

  • Proficient withallocatingand scheduling job duties to others.

  • Able to read and understand construction documents, shopdrawingsand plans.

  • Basic to Intermediate level software knowledge in Autodesk packages (e.g.Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360 etc.)

  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, project management software (Prolog or similar), accounting cost management software (CMIC or similar), and scheduling software (Primavera or similar).

  • A strong work ethic and a “can-do” attitude.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or equivalent relevant professional experience.

  • Minimum 1-3 years of hands-on construction experience in the industry.

  • Knowledge in robotic total station and 2+ years of RTS usage, Leica Captivate experience is a plus.

  • Knowledge in Autodesk Point Layout,AutoCADand/or Civil 3D.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to travel for on-site project support, client meetings, and field coordination activities as needed.

  • Lifting and carrying moderately heavy equipment (25lbs+), climbing ladders, and occasionally scanning crawl spaces and enclosed ceilings.

  • Commercial building scans can start at 6AM and occasionally require weekend work.

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
