Survey Project Manager / Professional Land Surveyor (PLS)
Location: Pottstown, PA
A well-established, award-winning civil engineering and land surveying consulting firm is looking to add an experienced Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) to lead surveying operations from its Pottstown office.
This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed surveyor who enjoys managing projects, mentoring staff, and working closely with clients while remaining technically involved. You'll have the autonomy to oversee projects from proposal through final deliverables while collaborating with a respected multidisciplinary engineering team on a diverse mix of land development and municipal projects.
What You'll Be Doing
- Manage boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, subdivision, and construction stakeout projects from start to finish.
- Lead and mentor field crews, CAD technicians, and junior survey staff.
- Review and certify survey plats, legal descriptions, and final deliverables.
- Prepare project proposals, scopes, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate directly with clients, engineers, municipalities, contractors, and developers.
- Balance project schedules, staffing, and budgets to ensure successful project execution.
- Help strengthen existing client relationships while supporting future business growth.
What We're Looking For
- Active Pennsylvania Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license.
- 7+ years of progressively responsible land surveying experience.
- Previous experience managing survey projects and leading technical teams.
- Strong understanding of boundary law, title research, and land development surveying.
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and modern survey equipment including GPS and robotic total stations.
- Someone who enjoys mentoring others, building client relationships, and taking ownership of projects.

Targeting a $115,000 to $135,000 base salary - compensation commensurate with experience and flexibility for the right candidate.
