ICAP at Columbia University, a global health leader situated within the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health in New York City, seeks highly qualified candidates to serve as Surveillance Officer Garissa -Kenya. The incumbent will be responsible for implementing the day-to-day clinical and oversee surveillance activities of a CDC-funded disease surveillance project at government health facilities. The position will be based at Garissa at the L5 County Teaching and Referral Hospital.
ICAP seeks highly qualified and experienced candidates to fill the surveillance position by October 2026.The successful candidate will hold an A diploma in clinical medicine and be a registered clinical officer, at least 3 years of experience working at or with public health facilities in Kenya, Proficiency in Somali, English and Kiswahili languages, Previous public health surveillance or research experience would be an added advantage and Ability to manage research at facility-level
The incumbent will have a demonstrated track record working on US Government-supported programs
