Job Description

Responsible for maintaining close, continuous surveillance of all gaming areas and the entire property, to secure safety and property assets

Job Title:Surveillance Agent

Department: Surveillance

Reports To: Supervisor Surveillance

FLSA Designation: Non-Exempt

License Type: Gaming

Target Pay: Start - $26.64 One Year - $29.60

Essential Job Functions:

  • Monitor all areas of the property always, identifying potential security and/or safety risks and reporting them to the appropriate individual or entity, for proper resolution
  • Utilizes necessary equipment, to identify, record, document and report illegal, suspicious or unusual activities occurring on property
  • Maintains a working knowledge of all rules and regulations of the New York State Gaming Commission and ensures strict adherence
  • Must be able to pass various tests to include but not limited to all table games and Surveillance system
  • Protects casino assets and gaming integrity through the consistent, thorough monitoring of all activities on property, particularly on the gaming floor
  • Participate in confidential internal and external investigations
  • Conducts research on subpoena requests from state and federal authority
  • Completes daily reports and incident reports to document your activity
  • Held accountable for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports
  • Supports other employees, supervisors, and management, regarding protection of assets in their respective departments
  • Coordinates, with the Security Department, when Surveillance discovers a matter which needs further investigation or attention
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Gaming industry experience preferred
  • Ability to identify color (casino tokes are color coded)
  • Basic math skills – pre-employment assessment required (add, subtract, multiply and divide)
  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED), some college preferred
  • Ability to analyze documents and reports
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing

Working Conditions:

  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk and use hands to control surveillance tools
  • Must occasionally lift and lift up to 25 pounds
  • Frequently required to stoop, crouch or kneel
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to interact with others while maintaining a courteous and positive demeanor
  • Exposure to climate environments
