Purpose
TheSurgical Technologist(certifiedor licensed)serves as a member of the surgical team,responds to patient needs,prepares / maintains resources (e.g.,equipment, instruments,supplies) &provides safe, quality health care services & / or assistance for surgical proceduresin accordance with level of experience, education,policies / procedures / protocols& standards.

TechSupportIII – skilledLicensed orcertifiedrole (directhealthcare)that supportsthe total peri-operative process;Providesintra-operativepatient care to patientsasdirected bythe Director of Nursing / Medical Director / Quality Committee(s);Anticipates surgeon’s needsin the use ofmedical supplies,instrumentation & equipmentavailability &readiness;Maintainsa safe& cleanoperating room suite; Assists& orensuresdocumentation& detailed records are kept;Performs essential duties& techniquesappropriate to rolefunction procedure;Participates in quality improvement processes;May serve as a resource (lead), role model &or mentor.
Minimum Qualifications
HighSchool diploma or GED;Current certificationfromaccreditedSurgical Technologyprogram;At least one (1)year experience in a health care or military medical setting;Meets requirements for applicable state(s) of engagement.
