What you’ll do:
A Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), under the supervision of the physician, will prepare supplies, equipment and instrumentation for each procedure performed. The ST will assist the physician with the maintenance of the sterile field and all sterile supplies for each procedure. The ST will assist the Materials Manager in the maintenance of the supply inventory. He/she will assist in the decontamination and reprocessing of surgical equipment.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Assist physician in all in-office procedures 
- Demonstrates solid communication skills. 
- Gathers needed procedure appropriate supplies for each surgery. 
- Updates surgeon preference cards as needed. 
- Reports missing or malfunctioning equipment to the physician and leadership, and facilities manager in a timely manner. 
- Competent in the use of equipment required to perform job in a safe, efficient manner. 
- Opens surgical supplies, sets up sterile fields, maintains sterile field using aseptic technique.
- Identifies any break in sterile technique. 
- Anticipates the surgeons needs and requests appropriate supplies prior to their immediate need. 
- Performs sharp and sponge counts according to policy. 
- Disposes of sharps and hazardous materials according to policy. Utilizes PPE. 
- Cleans procedural suite with appropriate disinfecting agents. 
- Washes and reprocesses instrumentation according to established standards and policy
- Accurately labels on medication on the sterile field. Accounts for and verifies amounts, reporting totals to the surgeon
- Maintains knowledge of commonly used local anesthetics, antibiotics, and topical Hemostats 
- Obtains appropriate syringes and needles for use. 
- Identifies Instruments in need of repair and gives them to Materials Manager 
- Maintains required certifications without reminder 
- Maintains patient confidentiality and privacy

QualificationsWho you are:

Qualifications:
- Is a graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology
- Certified as a Surgical Technologist.
- Current BLS certification.
