Lutheran Hospital’s Operating Room features eight advanced surgical suites and a dedicated cystoscopy suite, providing high-quality surgical care in a collaborative and patient-focused environment. Our surgical program is heavily centered on orthopedics, including spine, total joint and sports medicine procedures, while also supporting specialties such as general surgery, podiatry, urology and more. Equipped with advanced technology and a strong team-based culture, the OR offers an exciting environment for caregivers who thrive in fast-paced surgical settings.
As a Surgical Technologist in the OR, you will play a critical role in supporting surgeons and registered nurses throughout operative procedures to help ensure safe, efficient and exceptional patient care. Responsibilities include preparing sterile instruments and equipment, setting up surgical tables, assisting during procedures, maintaining the sterile field and supporting instrument decontamination and sterilization after surgery. This role offers the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on operative experience while making a meaningful impact on patients and caregivers every day.
A caregiver in this position works days from 7:00AM – 5:30PM or 7:00AM – 3:30PM, with on-call requirements.
During the 3-month orientation period, the schedule is Monday-Friday from 7:00AM – 3:30PM.
