Job Description

At Cataract & Laser Institute, we are committed to delivering an exceptional patient experience through compassionate care and advanced eye health technology. Our team is passionate about helping patients see and feel their best — and our Scribes play a vital role in making that happen.

If you are detail-oriented, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and enjoy helping others, this could be the perfect opportunity for you! No previous ophthalmology or optometry experience? That’s okay! We offer a comprehensive training program and dedicated trainers to support your success from day one.

Whether you are looking to start a career in healthcare or grow your clinical experience, this position offers hands-on patient care experience, career development opportunities, and the chance to work alongside a supportive medical team.

The Scribe supports the physician during patient exams by accurately documenting medical information in the electronic health record (EHR), allowing providers to focus more directly on patient care. This role also assists the clinical team with administrative and patient care responsibilities including obtaining patient histories, performing preliminary testing, scheduling appointments, and preparing exam rooms.

  • Starting wage of $X based on previous experience

  • 6.5 paid holidays per year + 2 floating holidays

  • Approximately 10 days of PTO within the first year

  • Company-paid certification and career growth opportunities

  • Hands-on clinical experience in a growing healthcare specialty

  • Supportive team environment with ongoing training and development

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist optometrists and ophthalmologists with patient care and procedures

  • Prepare and maintain exam rooms, including cleaning instruments and monitoring supplies and medications

  • Help maintain a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming environment for patients and staff

  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by leadership

SUPPLEMENTARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Based on patient volume and office needs, additional responsibilities may include:
