Same Day ServicesThe Manager is responsible for the management and quality of nursing which includes adult medical and surgical, oncology, and medical emergency situations that may arise on these units by furnishing guidance and broad supervision. Minimum Qualifications

Education
Graduate of accredited school of nursing, BSN required or plan to complete.

Credentials
Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice.
BLS, ACLS, PALS certification is required.
Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice.
Work Environment
A patient care setting. Exposure to blood and body fluids, contagious disease, hazardous chemicals, dangerous fumes, medical gases, and exposure to out of control patients, which may result in physical and/or verbal abuse.
Physical Demands
Able to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently.
Possess physical agility and adequate reaction time to respond quickly and appropriately to unexpected patient care needs.
Needs adequate hearing and visual acuity, including adequate color vision.
Requires fine motor skills, adequate eye-hand coordination, and ability to grasp and handle objects.
Able to use proper body mechanics to assist patients in ambulating, transferring in and out of bed, chair or wheelchair.
May be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
Must use standard precautions due to threat of exposure to blood and bodily fluids.
Needs ability to communicate effectively through reading, writing, and speaking in person or on telephone.
May require periodic use of personal computer.Essential Functions

Collaborates with their assigned supervisor, physicians and other departments within the facility to implement total care of the patient.
Effectively demonstrates and leads his/her group through change dealing positively with change.
Effectively coaches, counsels, and disciplines employees.
Appropriately supervises, delegates, schedules and assigns work to achieve patient satisfaction.
Assists and directs nursing staff with patient care support as needed. Observes patients and performs staff duties when the need arises.
Assist in meeting clinical quality objectives, and improve nursing care, including nurse sensitive core measures, HCAHPS, and clinical safety.
Must have effective interpersonal relationships and communication with nursing leadership.
