Job Description

  • Provides Educational support to the Department.
  • Responsible for providing all members of the Surgical Service team, whether licensed or unlicensed, educational services to assure required training and competencies are maintained. Works with Office Manager and leadership team on electronic medical records, updating physician preference cards, and troubleshooting problems. Monitors and responds to quality/safety events. Identifies, develops, implements, and monitors performance improvement activities.

Qualifications

Education Required

· Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and currently licensed to practice as a RN in the state of Alabama. BLS, PALS, and ACLS required.

Education Preferred

· BSN, preferred.

License, Certification and/or Registration

· CNOR, preferred.

· AORN member, preferred.

Experience

· Minimum 5 years OR and/surgery experience.
