Virtua Medical Group, a physician led organization of over 1,700 clinicians is looking to add a Surgical Oncologist to join our dynamic and growing team. We welcome both experienced surgeons and candidates directly out of fellowship. The ideal candidate will have strong training in oncologic surgery, with exposure to minimally invasive techniques, including robotic-assisted surgery.
This is a full-time, employed position with the health system located near Philadelphia with easy access to the New Jersey Shore, New York City, and Washington DC.
Qualified candidates should be fellowship trained and should be board certified or eligible.
About Our Program:
Integrated within the Penn Medicine | Virtua Health Cancer Program, offering access to a leading academic-affiliated oncology network
NAPBC-accredited program supported by a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary team including radiology, pathology, plastic surgery, medical oncology, and radiation oncology
Comprehensive, patient-centered care model with close collaboration among nurse navigators, genetic counselors, research coordinators, social workers, rehabilitation services (OT/PT), and home care teams to ensure seamless continuity of care
Shared surgery call with rotation among a team of dedicated surgeons
Strong clinical support structure including advanced practice providers, a nurse coordinator, and a dedicated surgical scheduler
Compensation:
In compliance with New Jersey pay transparency laws, all physician roles include a posted minimum base salary. The minimum base salary for this position is $425,000.00 per year. Final compensation for this role will be competitive and commensurate with experience, qualifications, and prevailing market factors.
