Job Description

Are you a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner that is looking for a challenge and to be part of an innovative team? ChristianaCare is recruiting for a Surgical NP or PA to work within our Surgery Department at both hospital campuses in Wilmington and Newark. This is a full-time day position with a Monday – Friday schedule with a weekend requirement averaging every four or five. Call is required at once every ten days. Holiday on-call requirement is one holiday and one holiday weekend each year.

The qualified candidate will provide care to surgical patients, as a member of the surgical service team, primarily functioning in the operative care of surgical patients as assigned, including positioning, draping, first or second assisting and postoperative order writing.

Additional responsibilities include providing preoperative and postoperative care to surgical patients, including examination, wound care, care of drains, and discharges.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Graduate of a NP or PA accredited program
  • Acute Care NP required with a RNFA certiication
  • Must be licensed or be license eligible in Delaware.
  • Two years’ experience in operating room and inpatient management preferred.

Annual Compensation Range $119,583.00 - $153,472.00

This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
