We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Patient Scheduling & Registration Coordinator to support our Imaging Services team. In this role, you will serve as a key point of contact for patients, providers, and internal departments while ensuring a seamless scheduling and registration experience.

The Patient Scheduling & Registration Coordinator is responsible for coordinating outpatient imaging appointments, registering patients, reviewing and processing physician orders, collecting payments, and providing exceptional customer service. This role plays a vital part in supporting efficient departmental operations and delivering a positive patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule outpatient imaging procedures and coordinate appointments with appropriate resources.
  • Register patients prior to imaging services and ensure all demographic and insurance information is accurate.
  • Review physician orders for completeness and clarity.
  • Maintain and update patient and procedure information in electronic systems.
  • Collect and accurately process patient payments.
  • Provide prompt, professional, and courteous assistance to patients, physicians, and staff.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure efficient scheduling and patient flow.
  • Maintain knowledge of departmental equipment, processes, and procedures.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and departmental goals.
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment through effective communication and collaboration.

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience with computer data entry and standard office equipment.
  • Previous scheduling, registration, customer service, or healthcare support experience preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally with patients, physicians, and healthcare team members.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records and scheduling systems preferred.
