
The Department of Surgery, Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Yale School of Medicine, is currently seeking a board eligible/board-certified plastic surgeon with expertise in breast reconstruction and microsurgery to join our growing team and serve as Section Chief, Breast Reconstruction. We are seeking an Associate Professor/ Assistant Professor level candidate; rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
In addition to clinical duties, our faculty members provide educational training to medical students, residents, and fellows and actively contribute to the academic and research missions of the Department. Applicants should expect to work in a collegial and collaborative environment providing patient-centered care in a multidisciplinary fashion. The successful candidate will provide leadership for the breast reconstruction program and work closely with Breast Surgical Oncology and colleagues across Smilow Cancer Hospital and Yale Cancer Center to further strengthen and grow Yale’s comprehensive breast reconstruction program.
Yale Medicine has a wide referral network of primary and specialty care physicians throughout Connecticut and the region. We are seeking candidates with an academic orientation in clinical care, research, and education and demonstrated expertise in reconstructive breast surgery, including microsurgical and implant-based reconstruction. Candidates will join a world-class multidisciplinary breast team at the NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center at Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale New Haven and Yale Cancer Center. Candidates should have exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills and a commitment to advancing the field of breast reconstruction. In addition to program planning and development, candidates should have experience in quality improvement, education, multidisciplinary collaboration, and operational development.
