Surface Mount Technology (SMT) Operator – 2nd Shift

Monday – Thursday | 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM

Surface Mount Technology (SMT) Operators are responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and operating equipment used to assemble SMT electronic circuits. This role involves mounting electronic components onto printed circuit boards and collaborating with technicians and engineers to ensure product quality and performance.

Job
Summary & Essential Functions:

  • Load and assist with setup and staging of product on SMT lines
  • Perform setup and teardown of feeders for all pick-and-place machines
  • Assist with setup and operation of pick-and-place equipment
  • Perform manual placement of SMT and PIH components
  • Collaborate with technicians and engineers to analyze PCB defect data
  • Adhere to all general team member requirements and safety standards
  • Properly handle and manage hazardous waste generated in the work area
  • Perform additional assignments as required

  • Ability to read and understand load plans
  • Ability to read and understand production drawings
  • Basic component identification skills
  • Ability to build electronic assemblies
